Villers-sur-mer is located between sea - the Channel - at the level of the estuary of the Seine -, and countryside - the Pays d'Auge -, best known for its products : cider, calvados, cheeses (Camembert, Pont-L'Evêque, Livarot...)
This pleasant site had been invested by the Romans...before the Parisians in the second half of 19th century

Looking west from the Mont Canisy at Blonville-sur-mer, Villers can be seen, nestling in the famous and imposing cliff "des Vaches Noires" (5km long and up to 120 m high )

The cliff named "Les Vaches Noires" ends on Villers' immense beach, which prolongates those of Trouville-Deauville-Blonville. At its surface appear geological layers going back to 150 million years

Les
Vaches Noires is a world-famous, classified and protected geological site, which played a significant role in the study of the jurassic and cretaceous seas, and contributed to the birth of paleontological science in Europe in the 18th century
|

Eastside of the resort, a new site is born in place of former marshes : "Le marais de Villers".
A nature park has been created on this place passage des oiseaux migrateurs.
